Here are all the NYC Marathon street closures you need to know about this weekend is one of our hand-picked Events finds for New York. Bridge shutdowns, parking restrictions and street closures start on Saturday—here’s what to know before heading out.

Why New York? New York is the ultimate dense, 24-hour city — five boroughs of iconic skyline, world culture and neighborhood-deep diversity. The city is known for the skyline and Times Square, Broadway, museums and global food.

Good to know: Spring and autumn are ideal; December dazzles for holidays; summer is hot and humid. The 24-hour subway is the fastest way around; Manhattan and much of Brooklyn are very walkable.
